Lean Role Canvas

The Lean Role Canvas is a tool to map out key aspects of a role and its value to the organization.

Studies show that increased role clarity correlates to higher performance (Örtqvist and Wincent, 2006), enhanced job satisfaction (Jackson & Schuler, 1985), lower stress and reduced turnover (Beehr and Glazer, 2005), and better team collaboration (Mathieu, Marks, and Zaccaro, 2001).

The canvas can be used by hiring managers when creating a new role within a team, or by individuals as their role evolves or they are asked to take on additional responsibilities.
