Yes, you can export your online whiteboard content by clicking on the ‘export this board’ icon on the top left corner of your board. Your content will be exported as a PDF or JPG file.
Once you share your board link, anyone with access will have editing rights. If you’d like to manage access and control permissions, sign up for the Miro free plan.
Your Miro Lite whiteboard will be saved automatically for up to 24 hours. If you want to continue working on your board, simply reopen it within 24 hours. Do you need more time to work on your board? Sign up for a free Miro account to keep using the board after this time.
You’ll have access to your Miro Lite whiteboard for up to 24 hours, after which it will automatically be deleted. To know how much time you have left until your board is deleted, click on the icon in the top left corner. If you want to keep your work, sign up for a free Miro account.
You can delete your board content by selecting the elements on your board with the selection tool (first icon in the toolbar on the left) and pressing delete.
There are many features you can use on the Miro Lite whiteboard online. You’ll find all of them on the left toolbar.
The first one is the selector tool, which helps you organize your board, allowing you to grab elements and move them around.
The pen tool works as a pencil, with which you can draw and write on your board. If you want to save time, select one of our ready-made templates and start working right away.
The Templates Library has a selection of 8 templates you can choose from.
Use sticky notes to brainstorm, and if you feel inspired, with shapes and lines, connect ideas, draw flowcharts or build diagrams.

Text feature allows you to add any text on the online whiteboard by just typing.
Connection lines connect shapes and other elements on the online whiteboard.
Use Miro Lite’s sticky notes to jot down notes during brainstorming sessions or online meetings. The sticky notes are also a great tool to organize your ideas visually; simply click on the sticky note icon in the left-side toolbar or press hotkey N to add stickies to your online whiteboard.
Miro Lite has a variety of shapes available, including squares, circles, triangles, ovals, quote bubbles, arrows, and brackets. Use these shapes to draw flowcharts, and build diagrams. If you need more robust features for faster diagramming, sign up for a Miro free account.
Miro Lite has a Select cursor (the arrow icon at the top of the left toolbar) for selecting items on your board. Once items are selected, you can bulk edit their details, including color or size, adding links, and quickly move items around your board.
The pen tool allows you to add (or delete) drawings on your Miro Lite board. Click on the pen icon on your left toolbar or press P on the keyboard. You can adjust the color and line thickness. The pen tool is compatible with tablet devices and works with Apple Pencil, Surface Pen, and more.
Use Connection lines whenever you need to link different objects on your board. Click on the left-side toolbar of your board, select the connection line icon and choose what kind of line you want to make, or simply press the hotkey L to start drawing a connection line directly on your digital whiteboard. To link objects, just click on the blue dots around them and draw the line directly from it to the second object. The Connection lines are great for drawing diagrams, flowcharts, and mindmaps.
If you want to write directly on the online whiteboard, simply press hotkey T, click on the board, and start writing. If you want to move your text box, just click on it and drag it around your board. Use the formatting menu to change the font, size, style, and more.
Yes, you can undo or redo any action you perform on your board. The undo/redo button is on the left side of your board, right under the toolbar.
To copy objects on your board, use the select tool by clicking on the arrow button. Select the object you want to copy and press Command+C (Ctrl+C) to copy and Command+V (Ctrl+V) to paste it.
If you want to name your virtual whiteboard, you’ll need to sign up for a free Miro account. Just click the top left corner Miro Lite button and go to Miro sign up.
You can upload images, PDFs, Google Drive documents, and MS Office files to Miro Lite. Just be mindful that the maximum file size is 30MB and the full image resolution is 32MP, and if you have any other doubts about file types please read this article. To add files to your whiteboard, simply drag and drop them from your folder or desktop.
