Six Thinking Hats Mind Map

This Six Thinking Hats mind map is a visualization of the Six Thinking Hats method, a project management technique for brainstorming, creative problem solving, and decision-making. The method uses six different “hats” that represents a specific perspective or way of thinking. The Six Thinking Hats involves the following “hats”:

• Blue: About process, planning, and organization

• Yellow: About optimism, hope, and benefits

• Red: About feelings, reactions, and intuition

• White: About data, facts, and information

• Green: About creative thinking, alternative ideas

• Black: About risks, caution, and dangers

Most of these activities will stay true no matter the topic or nature of the project. Yet, it can still be tweaked to add or remove activities that make sense to your team or project.
