What?
SCAMPER is a creativity tool developed by Bob Eberle for idea generation based on a predefined process.
With each question a change of perspective is made, which leads to new ideas and points of view.
How?
The following questions / steps are run through:
Substitute - Which components, materials, people can be substituted?
Combine - Which functions, offers, services overlap or can be combined?
Adapt - Which additional elements can be added?
Modify - Can colors, size, materials, menu items be modified?
Put to other purposes - How can existing elements still be used?
Eliminate - Less is more: Which elements/components can be removed, simplified, reduced?
Reverse - Can elements be used in the opposite way or can the order be changed?
