About the Roadmap Planning template

It gives your team a single, visual source of truth to define priorities, track progress, and keep everyone on the same page, from backlog to launch.
How to use the Roadmap Planning template
Capture your work. Start by adding all your tasks, initiatives, and ideas to the backlog table. Fill in details like Title, Assignee, Priority, Status, Estimate, and Dates to build out your single source of truth. You can also drag and drop existing stickies, cards, and Jira cards directly into the table.
Build your visual timeline. Drag and drop items from the table directly onto the timeline to schedule your work. Simply click and hold the dotted icon next to a table row and release it on the timeline to create a card. Adjust dates and see your entire project laid out visually across weeks or months.
Switch between views. Use the built-in toggles to switch between the Table, Timeline, and Kanban views. Everyone can see the same data in the format that works best for them, whether it’s a simple list, a visual timeline, or a status board.
Track and update in one place. Because all views are fully synced, any update you make—like changing a task’s status in the Kanban view—is instantly reflected in the Timeline and Table. This keeps your roadmap a living, accurate document. Note that visual settings like filters, sorting, and grouping apply only to your current view.
