The framework is intended to support ongoing professional development conversations with designers.

The framework offers a snapshot of where the designer currently is strong or weak. Using this the line manager can work with them focus their capability building efforts.

The designer and line manager should mark the level of capability against each of the sub-categories. This should be based on clear evidence rather than vibe scoring.
