Report

This workshop is about managing a team's knowlege and documentation. Keeping documentation up to date and useful is not easy, so we should be very careful if we document what, where and in which format.

Steps

  1. Try to write down (valuable) things that you know. Knowledge that you own will only change through your actions. Sort your knowlege by demand and change rate to figure out if, where and how to document to keep it maintainable.

  2. Assign all knowledge to people/roles that need it (now or in the future). Add people/roles as needed. Sort by importance.

  3. Expand your stickies to knowledge stories: As a <ROLE> I need <KNOWLEDGE> in order to <GOAL>.

  4. Sort your knowledge stories by demand and change rate.

  5. Sort your documentation-worthy knowledge stories into these quarters by the goals of the protagonists in the stories?

I care about building the right software the right way and keep it maintainable, the people who use it and those who build it.
