Purpose
Visualise the stream of work from start to finish to understand gaps and painpoints in the current state from the perspective of internal and external customers to allow for an ideal state design to be developed and executed in order to remove the painpoints and improve the value delivered to stakeholders.
Process
Using a cross-functional team, define the scope of the stream to work to be reviewed. Capture the current state through a Bird's Eye Map and capture the painpoints through go and see's to understand the perspective of the different stakeholders. Collaboratively design an ideal state, and create a plan to execute most effective changes to improve flow and increase value for stakeholders.
Outcome
An end to end representation of the improvements to a stream, from visualizing the current state and ideal state flow, through to the improvement implementation and reflection.
