GPS: Finding the Root Cause

Use this template to identify the symptoms of your problem and explore their root causes. Write the symptoms on the limbs of the tree, then dig deeper to uncover and document the root causes in the tree's roots. If you get stuck, ask yourself, "Why is this a problem?"

Instructions

1. From your context, pick as many symptoms (things that make you think/feel you have a problem) and write them on the lines found in the tree's limbs.

2. For each symptom, find out if there is a deeper root cause that is causing the symptom. Write the deeper cause in the roots of the tree. If you get stuck, you can ask, "Why is this a problem?"
