Remote Congratulations

What is the template about

Being a fully decentralized team, we faced an acute lack of communication with each other. This negative feeling was especially aggravated during the most important moments for our colleagues - the days of holidays, solemn events, etc. In order to solve this problem, we created a special board for celebrations and placed this frame on it, which allows us to brightly and originally congratulate our dear people on their birthday. Today, we use this frame very actively and widely, and thanks to it, we don’t feel longing for the office and offline interaction any more.

This template for our team is more than a set of shapes: it allows us to create an experience that is more engaging and more powerful than offline.

When to use it

This template can be used in any situation when you are too far from each other and do not have the opportunity to personally congratulate each other on holidays that are important to you (in particular, to congratulate your collegues on their birthdays, but you can change the holiday to the one that is relevant to you).

Why to use our template

This template can be:

• your way of maintaining interconnectedness and warm relationships with each other

• your opportunity to escape from the work routine, share vivid emotions or an interesting online experience

• the first step to create a strong decentralized culture, its own intra-team principles, traditions and rituals

Moreover, thanks to the hiding mechanics integrated into the frame, this template allows the authors of the wishes to freely express their emotions and feelings towards the addressee of the messages, without fear that they will be subjected to criticism or any questions from other colleagues. Thus, it creates a special level of comfort in which users do not feel embarrassed.

Who might benefit from it

This template can be used both for intra-team corporate events (congratulations), and for congratulations to clients, users, loved ones, etc. Feel free to give it a more intimate, custom feel with additional décor elements, emojis, memes, etc.

How to use this template

This template is designed both for cases when you organize a virtual birthday party, and for situations where you want to congratulate the hero of the occasion in absentia (in order for him to get acquainted with your warm words alone).

1. At the very beginning:

 1) enter the name of the birthday person at the very top

 2) complete the template with all the necessary decorative elements:

• a meme / gif associated with the birthday person

• company logo

 3) paint the template in the favorite colors of the birthday person (optional)

Tip: The template presented on the board is designed for 5 participants (authors of congratulations). You can expand it by adding the required number of envelopes and areas under them - for design, you can use pictures integrated into the frame background pattern.

2. Ask your teammates in advance (preferably the day before your colleague's birthday) to fill in one of the individual areas under the envelopes:

 1) Move aside the most liked envelope

 2) Write a congratulation on the sticker (on the left side)

 3) Place on the right side a link to something that seems interesting to you (movie,  song, podcast, website, educational course, etc.) or the material itself (if it can be uploaded directly to the board). This will be your digital gift for the birthday person.

3. After filling in the individual zones, ask your colleagues:

• to click on their envelopes and bring them to front (by pressing the PgUp button on the keyboard or by selecting this option from the pop-up menu).

• to transfer their envelopes to their filled individual areas, hiding everything written / placed in them.

4. Depending on the format of the event (virtual party or self-acquaintance with the materials):

• invite the birthday person to the planned zoom party, during which open the envelopes and present your gifts to him / her

• send the birthday person a link to the board with congratulations so that he himself can get acquainted with the congratulations you posted
