About the Localize Prototypes Template
Taking a product global means more than just translating text; it means ensuring your user experience feels native in every language. The Localize Prototypes template is a powerful tool in Miro’s innovation workspace that helps your team visualize exactly how your designs will adapt to different languages. It’s built to move your localization process from a manual, error-prone task to a fast, collaborative, and visual workflow.
How to use the Localize Prototypes template
Add your prototype screens. Place all the screens you want to translate directly onto the Miro board. This gives you a complete overview of your starting point.
Fill in your translations. Use the provided table to list your source strings and their translations for each target language, such as German, French, or Spanish.
Run the translation. With a single click, the template will take the text from your table and apply it to your prototype screens, generating a new, fully translated version.
Review your localized prototype. You can now see exactly how your designs look with the new text. Share the results with regional stakeholders for quick feedback and get everyone aligned before development begins.
Why use the Localize Prototypes template?
Move faster from design to global launch. Cut down the time it takes to prepare designs for different markets. Instead of manually updating text on dozens of screens, you can generate localized versions in minutes.
Catch UI issues before they happen. Translated text can be longer or shorter than the original, often leading to broken layouts. By visualizing the result, you can identify and fix these issues early in the design phase.
Get better, context-rich feedback. Share visual, interactive prototypes with regional teams and native speakers. This allows them to give feedback in context, ensuring not just accurate translations but a culturally relevant user experience.
