🧭 How to Use This Template

This Stakeholder mapping helps your team visually map and align on stakeholder influence and involvement. It’s especially useful at the beginning of a project—during the discovery or kickoff phase—when identifying roles, communication needs, and collaboration paths is critical.

Often, teams use this Radar to support strategic conversations around engagement, dependencies, and decision-making dynamics.

🪜Steps

  1. Map the Involved Teams: Start by using sticky notes to list all the teams or areas involved, or with whom you expect to interact. Examples might include: - Product - Design - CX - Commercial - Senior Leadership

  2. Create stakeholder cards: Once you’ve mapped the teams, add individual stakeholder cards. Each card should include: - Name, Role, Team You can do this as a group or prepare some stakeholders in advance, then refine together.

  3. Place Cards on the Radar: This is the core of the exercise. Move stakeholders to one of the following zones: - 🎯 Shared Decisions – People with whom you’ll co-create strategy and make key decisions. - 🤝 Work Together – Collaborators you'll partner with often throughout the delivery cycle. - 👁️ Keep Informed – Stakeholders who aren’t deeply involved but must stay in the loop.

  4. Refine and Group Patterns (Optional): After placing all cards, take a moment to group similar stakeholders or identify patterns—this helps spot communication flows or gaps. You can refine placements or create thematic clusters for more clarity.
