The Disney method was developed in 1994 by Robert Dilts based on Walt Disney's creative approach, it's a way to brainstorm on a problem with three different hats:
- the dreamer one
- the realistic one
- the critic one
It's a good mix of creativity and concreteness: it's not only about generating ideas but also looking at them with a critical eye and, eventually, having a bunch of them ready to be further explored and implemented.
✅ When to use it?
When you want to generate ideas starting with a specific problem
When you want to look at things from different points of view
When you need versatile brainstorming that works well remotely but also in person
