About the Agile Board template
Managing a project with a cross-functional team can feel like conducting a chaotic orchestra. The Agile Board template brings harmony to your workflow by providing a clear, visual framework to track every task from start to finish. It’s designed for teams who want to move beyond messy spreadsheets and disconnected tools, creating a single source of truth on Miro’s collaborative canvas where everyone can see what’s getting done.
How to use the Agile Board template
Populate your backlog. Start by adding all your tasks, user stories, and work items as cards in the 'To Do' column. Fill in key details like assignee, priority, and sprint.
Organize work by team. Use the pre-built swimlanes to assign tasks to 'Development', 'Design', or 'Product'. This gives each functional group a clear view of their responsibilities.
Track progress across the workflow. As work begins, move cards from left to right through each stage: 'In Progress', 'In Review', 'In QA', and finally 'Done'.
Keep work flowing. If a task gets stuck, move it to the 'Blocked' column. This makes impediments visible to the entire team so you can work together to resolve them quickly.
Why use the Agile Board template?
Get a clear view of your entire workflow. The visual layout makes it easy to spot bottlenecks and understand the status of work at a glance, eliminating the need for constant status updates.
Improve cross-functional alignment. With dedicated swimlanes for design, product, and development, everyone knows what they’re responsible for and how their work fits into the bigger picture.
Run more efficient meetings. Use the board as the focal point for your daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to keep conversations focused and actionable.
