2 Day Inception Workshop
Fabric Group
This inception workshop aims to kick off the delivery phase of a software product once the initial discovery is complete and there is clarity about what the product should achieve, who will use it and what value will be delivered once it is released.
It works to align all team members on why, for whom and what will be delivered. It provides a workable backlog for the first sprint and a prioritised sequence of work for the next few sprints. It also provides a realistic forecast of the possible delivery effort, time and budget.
Activities include; Goal Setting, Product Vision Alignment, Product Delivery Milestones, User Story mapping: decomposition, prioritisation and dependencies mapping, Relative Sizing, Timeline & Budget forecast, RAIDs board & Parking Lot, Showcase and Retrospective.
