Tour De Retro

Report

To celebrate world cycling day on June 2nd I have created a Tour De France inspired retrospective board.

The YOU questions:

"What’s Your Personal Yellow Jersey Moment?"

Explanation: The yellow jersey represents the overall leader in the Tour. Ask team members to share a moment or achievement they are particularly proud of from the recent work period.

Example Question: "What’s your personal 'yellow jersey' moment from this sprint or project? What achievement or contribution are you most proud of?" Rate how you are feeling and whats your motivation. Each white stripe on the road represents a point. There are 10 points.

Our Retro Questions:

"Which Stage Did We Excel At?"

Explanation: Just as cyclists have stages where they perform particularly well, reflect on which part of the project or sprint your team excelled. Discuss what went right and how those successes can be replicated.

Example Question: "During which part of this sprint did we perform exceptionally well, and what contributed to our success?"

"What mountains have we had to climb? Were there any flat tires?"

Explanation: Cyclists often face unexpected challenges, such as flat tyres or mountains to climb. Identify the hurdles or obstacles your team encountered and how they managed to overcome or mitigate them.

Example Question: "What unexpected challenges did we face during this sprint, and how did we address them?"

"Where Do You Need Support from the Peloton?"

Explanation: In the Tour, the peloton (main group of riders) works together to reduce wind resistance and support each other. Encourage team members to express areas where they feel they need more support or collaboration.

Example Question: "In what areas do you feel you need more support from the team (our peloton) to perform at your best?"

"What Can We Improve for the Next Stage?"

Explanation: After each stage of the Tour, teams analyze their performance to improve in the following stages. Discuss areas where the team can improve and strategies for future success.

Example Question: "What areas do we need to improve upon, and what changes should we implement for the next sprint?"
