Put the Food Into the Fridge
Objective:
To assist children in revising and expanding their food-related vocabulary in an engaging manner.
How to Play:
Players are presented with a variety of food items displayed on the screen.
Each player takes turns dragging an item into the image of a refrigerator on the device.
As they place each item inside, they must name the food out loud.
The twist: they are encouraged to use synonyms or descriptive phrases instead of the direct vocabulary words they have learned.
Example:
If the item is an apple, instead of saying “apple,” a player might say “a red fruit that keeps the doctor away.”
Goal:
To encourage creative thinking and deeper understanding of the language by using alternative expressions and descriptions for common food items.
Educational Value:
Enhances vocabulary retention through active recall.
Promotes language fluency by encouraging the use of synonyms and descriptive language.
Engages children in a fun and interactive learning experience.
This game can be a delightful and educational tool for children to practice and solidify their understanding of food vocabulary in a new and creative way.
