Strategic vs. Bespoke Product Prioritization Matrix

This 3x3 grid template helps you make product development decisions based on a combination of Value and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Designed for teams balancing bespoke and strategic options, the template highlights whether to prioritize, invest carefully, or avoid initiatives based on their projected impact and long-term cost.

Use this matrix to quickly identify high-value, low-TCO opportunities for immediate action or spot high-cost, low-value initiatives to avoid. A built-in checklist guides you to consider scalability, strategic alignment, and long-term maintenance before making key product development decisions.
