What it's about A five-phase board that turns a pile of raw game ideas into one small, testable concept, based on Sidney Fernandez's ideation method: Dump, Filter, Cost and commit, Loop it, Prove it. Instructions live on each frame, so it works standalone.

What it helps you achieve A chosen concept, a one-sentence core loop, and a named pass/fail test. The four-quadrant filter (passion vs. market saturation) is the key tool for cutting the idea list fast.

Who benefits most START developers of any level, especially solo or small-team VR devs (engine-agnostic). Newer devs use the prompt list and example loops to get unstuck. Experienced devs skip brainstorming, run an existing idea backlog through the filter, and can extend straight into a prototype sprint plan.

How to use it

  1. Dump 10+ ideas, no judging

  2. Filter: cut what's unbuildable, then sort survivors on the four-quadrant chart

  3. Cost and commit: tag top 2 to 3 by skills/assets/time needed, pick one

  4. Loop it: write the one-sentence core loop

  5. Prove it: define the smallest test and its pass/fail line
