Icebreaker Spin Wheel

Spin a wheel, flip a card, get talking: a simple, energizing format for breakout groups that turns any question set into a game.

What it does:

Participants spin a randomized wheel to land on a number, then flip the matching card to reveal a question. It works for any breakout group size since each group gets its own copy of the board to spin and flip independently.

Who it's for:

Facilitators, trainers, coaches, HR and team leads running workshops, onboarding sessions, or team meetings. Anywhere you need a low-prep way to spark conversation in small groups.

When to use it:

• Icebreakers at the start of a workshop or meeting

• Creative discussion warm-ups

• Get-to-know-you sessions with new teams

• Reflection prompts in pairs or small groups

• … any time you wish to make discussion more playful and less predictable

• Spinner wheel (choose 6, 8, or 10 item versions)

How long:

8–10 minutes per breakout round, 2–4 rounds recommended per session.
