Report

The Empathy Mapping Process is a step-by-step guide to understanding users' needs and emotions. It involves coming prepared with observations, setting up the activity, capturing observations, finding patterns, and discussing the findings.

The process helps design experiences that resonate with users' needs and emotions. In the context of smart home users, the empathy map identifies their feelings, thoughts, hearing, seeing, saying and doing, pain points, and gains.

It also highlights the goals, needs, behaviors, and pain points of tech-savvy individuals, early adopters, and professionals in the tech industry.
