The My AI Collaboration Canvas helps individuals and teams get intentional about how they're working with AI. It answers the question: How am I working with AI?
Created by Beata Padlo, facilitator and founder of HumanlyCommunity. Use it as a solo reflection, a team conversation starter, or a workshop closing tool.
How to use this template:
As an individual reflection (10–15 minutes)
Open the canvas and read through all five sections before writing anything
Work through each section in order, the sequence is intentional
Don't overthink it. First honest answer beats the perfect answer
Take a photo or screenshot to keep it, or download as PDF to share
As a team activity (30–45 minutes)
Share the board with your team via link or QR code
Give everyone 10 minutes to fill in their own canvas silently
Invite 2–3 people to share one thing from their tension zone
Use the "share it forward" section to agree on one team conversation to have this week
As a workshop closing tool
Works beautifully as the final 5 minutes of any workshop on AI, collaboration, or the future of work. Participants leave with something concrete and personal, not just notes from a slide deck.
Tips and best practices
The honest bit is the most important section. If you skip it, you're only doing half the work.
You don't need to share everything. The canvas is yours. Fill it in fully, then decide what to share with your team.
Return to it monthly. Your answers will change as AI changes, and that's the point.
Use it before a team conversation about AI, not after. It surfaces what people are actually thinking before the official talking points take over.
Facilitators: pair this with a group debrief using the 4-quadrant Collaborative AI Canvas (also by HumanlyCommunity coming soon) for a full workshop.
