Report

A 90-minute facilitation format that reveals what a project team actually knows about the technologies it is about to work with, and turns that picture into concrete technical decisions. Especially valuable before adopting new technologies or renovating an existing tech stack, when getting team capability wrong is most expensive.

The team rates each relevant technology, places it on a map of project relevance against team knowledge, and sorts the result into three zones: Comfort, Stretch, and Terror. Each item that needs attention gets a mitigation: train, replace, hire, partner, or descope. An optional Evolution Map shows how the team plans to grow specific capabilities over the project.

Use it at project kickoff, before architectural decisions are locked in, ahead of a stack renovation, or whenever the gap between assumed and actual knowledge feels risky.
