Copenhagen Marathon Retrospective 🏃♀️🇩🇰
26.2 miles, one PB, and a whole lot of feelings! This retro takes your sprint through the streets of Copenhagen with me.
A Quick Note Before You Start 📝
This board is built around my actual marathon and includes the bakery I love, the museum that saved a rainy day, the coach who pepped me up at 37km. Swap in your own race, trip, or big life thing instead of mine (a different city, a different finish line, whatever your "main character moment" was this sprint) and it'll land just as well for your team.
Which Neighbourhood Are You Today? 🏙️
Before the race even starts, pick the Copenhagen neighbourhood that matches your mood — hip and caffeinated Vesterbro, or off-grid Christiania? A cheeky way to get people talking before the retro even begins.
5km — Warming Up 🔥
Marathons (and sprints) don't start at full pace. This is the "let's ease into it" quiz-style warm-up to get everyone's brains moving before the real reflection begins.
15km — Cruising 🥐
This is peak vibes — the cardamom bun at Apotek 57 moment. What went well in your sprint? What was your equivalent of hitting your stride?
26km — The Wall 🌧️
Legs are killing, but your friends keep you going. What was tough this sprint, and who (or what) got you through it?
37km — The Surprise 💪
Deep in the pain cave, then out of nowhere — a stranger coach giving you a pep talk. What surprised you this sprint?
The Finish Line 🏅
It's done. WOOO. Time to hand out medals — who's earned one this sprint, and why?
