Yarn Weave Connections Exercise
Yarn Weave Connections Exercise by Voltage Control
Choose a piece of artwork that reminds you of a story you want to share.
GETTING STARTED
Choose a picture frame below and write your name in the grey circle.
Review the collages* in the center of all the frames and pick one that reminds you of a story you'd like to share with the group. Click and drag it to your frame.
Once everyone has chosen an image, the facilitator deletes the remaining images.
ARING
1. Someone volunteers to share their image, their story, and why they selected it. The facilitator drags the arrow from the line connected to the yarn at the bottom to their name sticky to start the connection. Once they've shared, turn their name circle orange like the yarn.
2. Whomever the share resonates with, raise your hand (in zoom). Copy and paste the spare line below the yarn ball. Drag the line and connect it to your name, make sure the arrow endpoints to the person's name that just shared. Take turns sharing why it resonates with you. Whoever is last to speak will share their image and story next. If the last person has already shared, pick someone else. The facilitator turns their name circle orange to indicate they have shared.
3. Repeat until everyone has shared their image and turned their name circle orange.
4. When all the name circles are orange, debrief with the entire group on the connections made and what emerged for them.
