Icebreaker: Create Your Monster

If you were a monster... how would you look like?

This exercise is a fun and powerful way for team members to introduce or present themselves or other colleagues.

This method can also be used to express emotions or thoughts about a certain topic.

By using the metaphor of a monster, characteristics are more easily displayed and can be exaggerated to make your point.

For instance: if you are a person that talks a lot, you could use a big mouth. If you are a good listener, maybe huge ears are more appropriate. You can look at the pre-made monsters as a source of inspiration, or simply to use them as a final product.

Creating a personalised monster stimulates creativity, brings fun and lightness into the virtual room.

TIP: ask people to copy the attributes so they can be used by several people. Or create a set for each of your participants, mentioning their name so they have their private playground.
