About the Action Plan template
Big ideas and ambitious goals are exciting, but they only create an impact when they’re put into action. The Action Plan template is a simple yet powerful tool that helps your team bridge the gap between strategy and execution. It provides a visual, shared space in Miro’s innovation workspace to break down large projects into manageable tasks and track them from start to finish.
How to use the Action Plan template
List your action items. Start by adding all your tasks, big and small, to the Not Started column. Don’t worry about order at this stage; just focus on capturing everything that needs to be done.
Organize your tasks. Drag each task into the appropriate swimlane. Use the Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly Review groups to organize work based on priority or the appropriate check-in cadence for your team.
Add important details. Click on any card to open it and add more information. Assign a team member, set a due date, add a priority level, and include a short description so everyone is clear on the requirements.
Track your progress. As work begins, move cards to the In Progress column. When the work is finished, move the card to Complete. The visual board makes it easy for everyone to see your team's progress at a glance.
