Why Use the SMART Goals Template?
The template forces you to define your objectives against five specific criteria, maximizing the likelihood of successful attainment:
S - Specific: Define precisely what you want to achieve (e.g., What do you want to accomplish?).
M - Measurable: Determine how you will know when the goal is accomplished (e.g., How will you know when you have accomplished your goal?).
A - Attainable: Ensure the goal is realistic and how it can be achieved (e.g., How can the goal be accomplished?).
R - Relevant: Verify that the goal aligns with your larger objectives and needs (e.g., Will the goal meet your short and long-term needs?).
T - Timely: Set a clear deadline for when the goal will be accomplished (e.g., When will the goal be accomplished?).
