Why Use the RACI Matrix Template?

The template provides a structured format to define and communicate team involvement across four key roles:

• Responsible (R): The person or people who perform the task or complete the work. There can be multiple Responsible parties.

• Accountable (A): The person who is ultimately answerable for the correct and thorough completion of the deliverable. There must be only one Accountable person per task.

• Consulted (C): People whose opinions or expertise are sought, usually before the work is finalized. This is a two-way communication.

• Informed (I): People who are kept up-to-date on progress or outcomes, usually after a decision is made. This is a one-way communication.
