The Miro Recap: 24 updates for 2024

It’s been a busy year at Miro. We hit the road for over 250 events so we could get inspired by the passion and energy of our community. We were named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape for Team Collaboration Applications, which is a direct result of you — our customers and users — putting your trust in us as a leading platform for teamwork.1

And best of all, more and more of you have joined us on this journey to change the way you work and innovate. We’re blown away that over 80M people in 250,000 companies now use Miro to get from idea to outcome faster. 

For us, the year culminated in the launch of the Innovation Workspace, the biggest transformation in Miro’s history. The Innovation Workspace takes everything we’ve learned over the last 13 years and boosts it with new AI capabilities, powerful workflows and interactive experiences, all on an Intelligent Canvas that empowers teams to build the right thing faster, more collaboratively, and in the ways that work best for them.

1. Create the right impression with Brand Center

Maintaining a consistent, on-brand look across your Miro boards is now effortless. With the Brand Center, you can upload your team’s fonts, colors, and logos. From brainstorming sessions to detailed diagramming, you can now align your visuals with company branding and assets, allowing you to showcase your work with confidence and professionalism.

2. Communicate complex ideas with an image and icon library

Elevate your boards with an expanded library of images and icons, giving you more ways to visually communicate complex ideas. Whether you’re adding flair to a flowchart or emphasizing key points in a presentation, this rich library helps you create compelling visuals that captivate and inform.

Sharing your work is all about ensuring your ideas resonate clearly and keep stakeholders aligned. Here’s how our Talktrack and presentation updates help you to present your work with impact.

3. Give meetings a miss, thanks to Talktrack

You all know and love Talktrack, the simple way to summarize your boards. But this year, there are a few standout updates that help you to collaborate more easily than ever before. 

Now, you can embed your Talktrack presentations seamlessly in Coda, Notion, and Productboard. Viewers can watch and interact with your Talktrack directly within these platforms, making sharing and engagement effortless. Simply copy the Talktrack link from Miro’s collaboration toolbar to get started! 

There’s even more ways to collaborate with your teammates via Talktracks thanks to reactions. When viewing a Talktrack, you can use emojis to react to specific moments, ultimately improving the feedback process. And you can catch up on async work while on the go by viewing interactive Talktrack video walkthroughs on your mobile device, giving you the flexibility to explore board content anytime, anywhere.

We love the feedback we heard from a global FinTech customer who told us, “Before, we were having to build boards and have fake meetings just to record instructions. With Talktrack, we could do it directly in Miro.” Fewer fake meetings? That has to be good.

4. Deliver more polished presentations

Workshops and meetings are now more effective with Action shortcuts for Timer, Private Mode, and tools for Estimations and Dependencies. These shortcuts save time, reduce friction, and ensure productive sessions where every minute counts.

This year we continued to expand our global reach with support for Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, and Polish, making sure that Miro is accessible to even more teams worldwide.

The new Accessibility checker ensures your boards meet accessibility standards, while updates like AI-powered alt text and assistive technology compatibility allow every team member to engage fully, regardless of their needs.
