Design Studio Workshop
The Design Studio template is a free, collaborative resource to help facilitate group alignment and ideation for any User Experience (UX) design challenge. Use a Design Studio to bring together team members with various areas of expertise and give every voice in the room—loud or soft—a chance to be heard.
This template will help you:
Guide participants through important project background
Document relevant best practices to aid in ideation
Collaboratively sketch ideas—individually and as a group
Discover key takeaways and overlap across solutions
And in the end, you have a neat and tidy artifact that saves everyone’s solutions—which serves as the ultimate reference for designers.
How to use this template:
Preparation and Customization
Before your workshop, gather and fill in your design challenge and best practice screenshots to serve as a reference for participants. Feel free to customize your boards to your liking, including modifying the workshop agenda and group breakouts accordingly.
Group Working Session
During your workshop, follow the boards from left to right to introduce the agenda, challenge, and reference materials before moving to sketching exercises. You can break into groups and work through the activities to ideate individually and collectively. Sketches can be made directly in Miro — but we prefer to have everyone sketch on paper and then post photos of their ideas to the Miro board.
Final Steps
Take time to reflect on the final ideas and document key takeaways that will help designers iterate and bring a consolidated solution to life.
