Lean Research Inception (LRI) é uma estrutura colaborativa que ajuda pesquisadores e profissionais a formular e avaliar, em conjunto, problemas de pesquisa com relevância para o mundo real na Engenharia de Software.
Inspirado em métodos Agile como design thinking, Lean Startup e Lean Inception, o LRI busca promover a integração precoce entre a academia e a indústria. Ele combina uma ferramenta visual, o board Problem Vision, com uma escala diferencial semântica baseada em valor, viabilidade e aplicabilidade, aproveitando o conceito de produto mínimo viável (MVP).
Este board inclui:
• Um exemplo baseado em um problema do mundo real para ilustrar como o LRI funciona
• Um modelo em branco para apoiar workshops, planejamento de pesquisa ou sessões de cocriação
A abordagem faz parte da pesquisa de Ph.D. de Anrafel Fernandes Pereira na PUC-Rio (Brasil). Ela foi refinada por meio de estudos no SAIL Lab (Software and AI Engineering Lab) e em um workshop com pesquisadores seniores durante a International Software Engineering Research Network - ISERN 2024.
O LRI é recomendado para grupos de pesquisa, projetos de colaboração entre indústria e academia e para quem deseja alinhar a pesquisa científica às necessidades da indústria.
