Reverse Brainstorm

The word 'brainstorm' is weighed down by a fair amount of baggage because such loose ideation sessions rarely produce good ideas. This one though is different. The Reverse Brainstorm is a classic technique. It recognizes that great ideas are hard to happen upon. Its solution is to deliberately guide the generation of truly terrible ideas. Then you simply flip these on their head and suddenly, good ideas emerge.
