Purpose Statement Journey

A purpose statement gives an organisation, project or team focus and keeps team members motivated through the inevitable ups and downs.

A purpose statement makes clear what the organisation, project or team is all about.

Essentially, an aspirational yet constrained purpose statement is beneficial to customers and team members alike.

The aim is to shift away from vision and mission led work to purpose- led work. Purpose is often confused with team vision/ strategy, but if anything it’s more of a mission. A non-traditional mission statement. So the vision is the goal, and the strategy is the how, then the purpose is the why you’re even aiming for the goal(s) in the first place.
