Workshop: How to Plan Your Product Discovery

Introduction

Imagine you have a complete backlog or roadmap for your product. But you are not sure which feature will provide the most value to your customers. There are risks or unknowns you see when implementing certain features.

Our workshop template will help you prioritize features and identify step-by-step discovery methods to mitigate feature risks and create maximum value for your customers. The approach is based on Marty Cagan's product discovery best practices.

Copy this template, mentally walk through it, and schedule a meeting with your development team to identify and plan the necessary discovery methods for your features.

Procedure

1. Introduce yourself to the board using the "Start Here" Frame

2. Checkout the Theory Board to gain knowledge on Product Discoveries and why they are important (Optional)

3. Walk through the example to understand the process (Prioritization of features, Collection questions, Collect answers, Choose an effective method)

4. Apply process to your own features by using the templates (Modules)
