Hunt the Insights Retrospective
Goal: Uncover hidden learnings, celebrate surprise wins, and surface what's been overlooked—all through a playful Easter egg hunt.
Prep virtual or physical “eggs”—each one hiding a reflection question.
Format: Hide “Easter eggs” (either physical or virtual post-its) around the room with different reflection prompts inside. You could use the fillable eggs with a piece of paper in it .
In a virtual setting use this board to revel the eggs
Sample Prompts:
What’s something that surprised you this sprint?
What hidden win should we celebrate more?
What’s been swept under the rug?
What’s something we cracked but didn’t hatch fully?
Where did we “put all our eggs in one basket”? Was it worth it?
What’s one thing we could incubate longer next time?
What’s been quietly working well that we haven’t acknowledged?
Who showed up unexpectedly strong this sprint?
How to Run It:
Let team members “pick” an egg one at a time (or randomly assign).
Read the prompt aloud.
Group reflects and discusses.
Wrap-up:
End with a reflection round:
What's the golden egg from today’s discussion?
