The Futures Wheel is a foresight method designed to model the future by exploring the consequences of a particular event or trend. This exercise helps to gain a deeper understanding of the problem domain, ensuring that future models are as accurate and insightful as possible.

To begin, select a significant event that will be the focus of the analysis. Then, explore the first-order consequences that arise from this event, applying them to each aspect of the STEEP framework (Social, Technological, Economic, Environmental, and Political factors). Next, dive deeper into the second- and third-order consequences, continuing to explore how the event's impact ripples through each of these elements.

Finally, conclude with a discussion of the implications revealed by this exercise, identifying potential next steps based on the insights gathered.
