Media-friendly: Space to add links, videos, images, and any digital resources that can be shared.
Customizable: Easily adaptable for different groups, occasions, or purposes.

How to use the Digital Gift-Giving template
1. Personalize the gift boxes with categories
Before participants begin, you can customize the categories of the gift boxes to create structure and add a fun theme. For example:
Knowledge & learning: Resources like online courses, articles, books, or insightful podcasts.
Games & fun: Fun challenges, memes, games, or entertainment suggestions.
Networking & connections: Links to networking events, professional communities, or collaboration tools.
Offers & discounts: Special offers, exclusive access to tools, or discount codes for useful products.
Health & wellness: Digital resources for mental health, fitness, mindfulness, etc.
Edit the gift tags (the text on each gift box) to reflect these categories. You can color-code the boxes for clarity and visual appeal (e.g., blue for Knowledge & Learning, green for Health & Wellness).
Tip: If you’re facilitating a smaller group or one-on-one session, you can customize this step further by letting participants select their preferred category for gifting, or even giving them the option to add multiple categories to a single gift box.
2. Set the stage
Begin by explaining the idea of digital gift-giving. Share the goal of creating a fun, meaningful space where everyone can contribute and receive thoughtful digital gifts.
Optional: Add a short icebreaker question at the top of the Miro board to get everyone in the mood (e.g., “What’s your favorite online tool or app?”).
3. Personalize your gift boxes
Each participant gets their own gift box on the board (or a shared box with categories depending on your group size). Participants can:
Add Llnks: Share a favorite article, podcast, or useful tool.
Drop in images: Add a photo or artwork that might inspire others.
Add links to videos: Share a short video message, music video, tutorials, or fun clips.
Provide resources: Offer a digital resource, such as a template, eBook, or a helpful tutorial.
Tip: Encourage participants to make their gift personal or relevant to the group, whether it’s something work-related for a team or a fun surprise for friends or family.
4. Start the gift swap
Once everyone has added their digital gifts, let participants explore each other’s boxes. Encourage thoughtful responses and comments.
Facilitator Tip: Ask people to share why they chose each gift or how it might benefit the recipient. This can spark interesting conversations and strengthen connections.
5. Wrap-up with gratitude
After everyone has had a chance to explore the gifts, end with a round of appreciation. Encourage participants to thank each other for their thoughtful contributions.
Facilitator Tip: Consider leaving space at the bottom of the board for “thank you” notes or reflections. Participants can share how a particular gift impacted them or what they learned.
Facilitation tips
Group size consideration: For smaller groups, each participant can have their own personal gift box. In larger groups, create themed boxes (e.g., “Fun Tools,” “Inspiration,” “Work Resources”) to make the experience more manageable.
Time management: Set a time limit for everyone to add their gifts (e.g., 10 minutes) to keep the activity moving. Then allow another 10 minutes for everyone to explore and comment on the gifts.
Theme the gifts: Customize the experience by choosing a theme (e.g., “Holiday Gifts,” “Wellness Tools,” “Learning Resources”) to make the digital exchange more focused.
Encourage creativity: Remind participants that digital gifts don’t have to be big or complicated—small, thoughtful offerings go a long way in creating a positive experience.
Debrief: After the activity, invite people to reflect on their favorite gifts or the experience as a whole. This can be done verbally or in writing (such as adding notes to the board).
Ideal use cases
Remote teams: Create a virtual “holiday” or “team-building” event where colleagues can share useful tools, inspirational videos, or fun resources.
Friends & family: Use this template for a digital gift exchange during birthdays, holidays, or just to stay connected with loved ones.
Workshops & events: This template can also be used for interactive workshops where participants share resources and ideas to benefit the group.
Feel free to get creative and make this experience your own! The beauty of digital gift-giving is that it transcends physical boundaries and creates lasting connections in the digital space. Happy gifting! 🎁
