AI is everywhere, but too often it lives in isolation, helping individuals move faster while leaving teams just as fragmented as before.
For true transformation, AI has to move beyond single-player productivity and into the shared spaces where teams make decisions, imagine new ideas, and align on what matters.
That’s why at Voltage Control, we’re so energized by Miro’s latest AI capabilities like Flows and Sidekicks and by our work as a certified Miro Solutions Partner — and Platinum Sponsor at Canvas 2025 — to help organizations use these tools to their fullest potential.
Together with Miro, we’re proving that when facilitation and AI come together, teams can move faster, work smarter, and collaborate more meaningfully.
Our goal isn’t to add more AI into meetings. It’s to make meetings smarter, more innovative, and more people centric.
From vision to practice
I first started exploring the idea of “AI teaming” at SXSW, where we asked a simple but provocative question: What if AI could become a teammate rather than a tool?
Months later, that vision came to life on Miro’s AI canvas.
When Miro introduced AI Flows and Sidekicks, we became one of the first partners to beta test how these features could reshape facilitation.
-
AI Flows automate the structure of collaboration, turning briefs and research into synthesized artifacts like user journeys or prototypes.
- AI Sidekicks join the conversation as intelligent collaborators, surfacing risks, connecting dots, and reframing challenges in real time.
We used Miro’s new capabilities to bring our AI Teammate personas — The Challenger, The Synthesizer, The Optimist, and The Historian — directly into the workspace.
Each brings a voice that might otherwise be missing in the room, offering questions, context, or perspective that make collaboration richer and more balanced.
AI belongs in the circle, not outside it. And Miro is the first platform that truly makes that possible.
Product × Practice × Purpose
At Voltage Control, we blend product innovation with behavioral design. Our philosophy, Product × Practice × Purpose, ensures that organizations don’t just install tools — they build new habits.
| Product | Practice | Purpose |
| Miro’s AI Flows and Sidekicks | Facilitation frameworks that shape behavior | Inclusive, creative, and responsible collaboration |
This approach is already helping teams move from experimentation to measurable impact.
Proof in practice
1. Breakout Buddy: from concept to prototype in weeks
We’d been dreaming about a tool that could give facilitators more control over Zoom breakouts. With Miro’s AI Flows, we finally built it.
Using an AI-powered Flow we designed called Instant Prototyping, we went from concept to working prototype in hours, something that used to take weeks. Within a few more weeks, our app, Breakout Buddy, was ready for Zoom Marketplace review.
It felt like running a Design Sprint that only took two hours. AI Flows gave us instant clarity on what, and what not, to build.
3. Building clarity for a fintech in stealth
For a fintech startup developing a financial planning platform, clarity between founders and external developers was a major challenge.
With Miro’s Instant Prototyping, we created user flows and screen requirements in a single session, aligning everyone instantly and avoiding costly rework.
One founder told us afterward, “I finally have confidence our dev team can build without confusion.”
3. Accelerating innovation for a global consumer brand
A leading consumer goods company used our Miro Transformation Program to strengthen innovation cycles across distributed teams.
By combining Miro’s AI capabilities with facilitation frameworks, we helped reduce redundant synthesis work, clarify collaboration patterns, and make progress visible across teams.
The outcome was faster concept validation, fewer misaligned efforts, and stronger executive confidence in their innovation process.
4. Designing responsible AI practices for a service platform
A national home-services company worked with us to define responsible-use patterns for AI.
Through an AI Strategy Workshop in Miro, we developed ethical guidelines and templates that make responsible experimentation repeatable at the team level.
The result: a shared language and framework for sustainable AI adoption.
Responsible AI as a practice
For both Miro and Voltage Control, responsible AI isn’t a compliance checklist, it’s a collaboration framework.
Every engagement centers on three facilitation pillars:
-
Assess how you work: Observe current collaboration patterns before layering on automation.
-
Leverage AI responsibly: Design AI participation that clarifies, not replaces, team judgment.
-
Extract real value: Measure success by decision quality, inclusion, and velocity, not output volume.
Responsible AI is about trust and transparency. Facilitation gives teams the tools to make AI a trusted teammate.
The future of collaborative AI
We’re only getting started.
New projects are already underway, exploring how AI Flows can accelerate research synthesis, retrospective analysis, and multi-team decision dashboards.
At the same time, we’re expanding our facilitation training programs, helping organizations build internal communities of practice that sustain these new ways of working long after the first workshop ends.
Together with Miro, we’re demonstrating what the future of collaboration looks like: AI that enhances inclusion, creativity, and clarity, without replacing what makes teams human.
Facilitation is the bridge between AI innovation and human connection. That’s the transformation we’re leading with Miro.
Takeaways
-
AI + facilitation = collaboration that scales: Miro’s AI capabilities combined with facilitation frameworks create repeatable systems for innovation.
-
People-centered adoption matters: The most successful teams don’t just use AI, they design how AI participates in their work.
- Clarity is the real ROI: Across industries, we’re seeing faster decisions, fewer rework cycles, and stronger alignment.
