Workshop Template: The Agile Village – Exploring the Agile Mindset

This interactive 3-hour workshop introduces teams to the foundations of agile mindset and ways of working, specifically designed for participants with no prior experience in agile. Using a playful village metaphor, participants collaborate in small groups to design themed “houses” that reflect core agile values such as communication, collaboration, learning culture, responsibility, and feedback. Through hands-on mini sprints, visual tasks, and retrospectives, teams explore what agile thinking means and how it can be applied in their daily work.

• Focus: Introducing the agile mindset and agile work to beginners

• Format: Online or in-person

• Duration: ~3 hours + break

• Team size: 10–20 participants, 3–5 per group

• Tools: Miro, Zoom/Teams (for online); flipcharts, sticky notes (for in-person)

• Core outcome: A shared, practical understanding of agile principles tailored for newcomers
