The Suitcase Retrospective
For closing a phase of work.
Background
I designed this retrospective in 2023 for a team who were coming to the end of a phase of work and were about to hand it over to another team.
It can also be used for teams who are about to go into a new phase of work and want some time to reflect on the last phase.
Retrospective Outcomes
The overall goal of the retrospective is to highlight learnings that an ongoing or new team could take forward, identify things they would leave behind, give the team the space to reflect on what they had learnt, celebrate what they had achieved and give thanks to each other.
How to use this board
Get your team together and explain the format
Spend some time synchronously or asynchronously thinking about your responses to the prompts
Discuss it together
Agree what you will change, if anything or what you will pass on to a new team
