Stress Container Retrospective

Report

This Retrospective model consists of 4 steps:

  1. The team starts the meeting by assessing their current level of stress on the "Stress meter". A set of arrows is already placed next to the Stress meter, and each of them has the name of a participant. Each participant must choose the arrow with their name, and place it on the Stress meter according to the level of stress they are feeling at that moment. When they are finished, they should explain the reason for the level of stress.

  2. Then, all the participants should have a pre-defined time to add things that stress them out on the sticky notes inside the 'tank' (green post-its). When the time is over, cluster similar topics and discuss all of them. If anyone has suggestions to give to reduce the level of stress caused by these topics, create a post-it with it and put it under the 'tap' (blue post-its).

  3. Then, all the participants should have a pre-defined time to add things that help them to release stress on the sticky notes below the 'tap' (blue post-its). When the time is over, cluster similar topics and discuss all of them.

  4. Finally, all the participants should have a pre-defined time to add things that blocks their stress relief on the sticky notes below the 'rocks' (yellow post-its). When the time is over, cluster similar topics and discuss all of them.

As an Agile Coach, I really enjoy working with the teams or the organization to help them overcome some problems and achieve their goals! Facilitating some discussion sessions is a pleasure, even better if I can try out some new templates and methods!
