PICK Chart
This chart helps sort and prioritize ideas, tasks, or projects based on ease of implementation and potential impact. The chart categorizes ideas based on two critical dimensions: ease of implementation and potential impact.
PICK stands for:
Possible: Ideas that are relatively easy to implement but have minimal impact.
Implement: Rare gems that are both easy to execute and promise significant returns or impact.
Challenge: High-impact, high-difficulty ideas.
Kill: Ideas that are difficult to implement and have minimal impact.
Instructions
Place Ideas on the Chart:
Write down your ideas on sticky notes or tabs.
Place each idea on the grid based on its payoff (impact) and difficulty levels.
Be as definitive as possible—avoid half-placed notes.
Evaluate and Prioritize:
Ideas in the Implement quadrant are quick wins and should be prioritized.
Possible ideas may need refinement or consideration later.
Challenge ideas require effort but promise substantial returns.
Kill ideas are hard to implement and have minimal impact.
