New Business / Product Canvas

A canvas to help you plan out your new business or product. This will really challenge your thinking to give you the best chance of success.

I'm a fan of the lean business canvas. I think it is a better structure than many other traditional business planning tools. However, I also feel that it is a bit too simple; it's possible to do it in 5 minutes if you are that way inclined. Creating a new business/product is hard, and so a lot of effort should go into the planning. I wanted to create something that was much more thorough and challenge you to really think. So this canvas is essentially the lean business canvas on steroids!

There are multiple different ways to weave your way through this template, just follow whichever line seems to make sense to you at the time. Then go back and follow a different path to fill in the gaps. Just make sure you start with the "unfair advantage" frame, and then follow the arrows.
