Heuristic Evaluation
Why use this?
A heuristic evaluation can provide some quick insights early on or late in the design process. A heuristic evaluation helps us identify the usability problems in an existing user interface design.
What is a Heuristic Evaluation?
A heuristic evaluation is a type of formative research. It is an evaluation of a designed experience by 2 certified evaluators. It is based on proven principles (i.e., heuristics) of usability and human behavior.
What you need?
You will need 2 independent evaluators who each evaluate the experience separately. Evaluators must not have experience with design, creation, or usage of the experience being evaluated. It is preferred that an evaluator obtain certification and support through the Insights team.
How to prepare?
The requestor (typically PM/Designer) fills out the Intake Questionnaire.
Next step is to populate the template with the Experience Names and applicable 'pages'.
