🐥 Peep – What did we observe during this sprint/project?

🥚 Crack – What felt fragile or broke under pressure?

🐣 Hatch – What new ideas or improvements can we bring forward?

Purpose:

Reflect on what was noticed, what struggled, and what’s ready to evolve. It's simple, light-hearted, and encourages deeper insight without heaviness.

Facilitation Guide

🕒 Total time: ~45–60 minutes

1. Set the Scene (5 mins)

Welcome the team with a light check-in:

“If this sprint were an Easter treat, what would it be? (Hot cross bun, cream egg, chocolate bunny with no ears left…)”

Introduce the Peep, Crack, Hatch metaphor. Keep it fun but clear.

2. Silent Reflection & Writing (10–15 mins) Use the prompts from the sticky notes for each section

Ask team members to:

  • Add 3–5 stickies per person

  • Color code or emoji-tag their thoughts if they want

  • Place them into the right zone (Peep, Crack, Hatch)

Optional: Turn on a timer in Miro to create focus.

3. Group Review & Discussion (20–25 mins)

Facilitate each section one at a time:

  • Peep: “What stands out? Are we all observing the same things?”

  • Crack: “Let’s talk about what broke—any patterns here?”

  • Hatch: “Which ideas feel most energizing or actionable?”

Highlight 1–2 insights from each section as “golden nuggets.”

4. Action Planning (10 mins)

  • Prioritise top 1–2 “Hatch” ideas.

  • Assign owners or turn into improvement experiments.

  • Wrap with a "Which cracked egg are we most ready to patch?" question.
