A core principle of agile is that team members and managers need to work together, and this game helps your team practice two different control strategies in a simple setting.

Learning objectives

  • Understand how different control strategies impact performance.

  • Practice two control strategies in a simple setting.

Instructions - Round 1

  1. Everyone selects an icon

  2. Pick one boss. Everyone else is a team member.

  3. The boss sorts everyone by distance from the (or another location the boss chooses).

  4. Only the boss can move icons.

  5. The team members can speak only if the boss talks to them.

  6. There are no shortcuts!

Instructions - Round 2

  1. Everyone is a team member.

  2. Team members can talk to each other.

  3. Sort by number of books in your house.
