Weekly Habit Journal

Report

Are you fascinated by the science behind establishing and keeping good habits? Or the power of journalling to capture your most meaningful thoughts? Then this Weekly Habit Journal template could come in handy!

I don't know about you, but if I don't visualize my goals in some way, I have a hard time achieving them. Miro's visual canvas has become an effective, fun way for me to document my progress towards my goals and healthy habits. I always have Miro handy on my phone, or while I work on my laptop, so quick access to jotting down your progress and ideas is important.

How To Use The Weekly Habit Journal

Before you get started, you'll want to create a new board where you'll add your weekly frames.

Then for each week, follow these steps:

BEGINNING OF EACH WEEK

Create a new frame for that week from your template. Enter a handful of specific habits you want to track and set a goal for the number of days you want to complete each habit. Choose healthy, meaningful actions that, when you complete them, help you move forward in a positive direction.

THROUGHOUT THE WEEK

Give yourself a green check mark each day you complete that habit. Earn a gold star for a day when you complete ALL your habits!

Add journal comments as they occur to you throughout the week. You should customize these journal areas to whatever is meaningful to you: gratitude, high/low moments, wins, lessons learned.

END OF EACH WEEK

Now the fun part........tally up your results to see how well you hit your habit goals. Earn another gold star if you exceeded your goal!

Read back through your journal entries, and reflect on how the week went. Write a brief summary of the week, and give yourself a subjective Happiness Rating of 1 (really sad) to 10 (best week ever!)

For a bird's eye view of your overall happiness, add each week's Happiness Rating alongside the next to chart your happiness throughout the year.

It can be really insightful to look back on these weekly entries - perhaps monthly or quarterly - as a reminder of all of the highs, and lows, of your weekly routines.
