Before you start a game which we sometimes call work, project or even sprint in our adult world, wouldn’t it be nice to get to know the members of your team before you play?

About the template

Here’s one for you to consider called “TeamPLAY Personality Profiler”. This short, easy to execute gameplay gives you a glimpse of how each member of your team see themselves.

More importantly you can roll-up into a team play personality. Is your team a storyteller or more of a creator – even a Joker? You are able to use 8 archetypes based on the widely popular book by Dr. Stuart Brown titled “ Play: How it Shapes the Brain, Opens the Imagination, and Invigorates the Soul”.

I designed this be light and fun – great for breaking the ice, kicking of a new activity and, maybe, identify how to level-up the team dynamics. Currently, the template is set up for up to 8 participants but with a bit of a tweak you can scale this easily.

The profiler is for you – facilitator, team leader, consultant, entrepreneur.

How to use the template

1/ Give each participant the time to read all 8 play personality profile cards.

2/ Ask them to place these cards on the board based on their affinity to the personality. 1 -strong to 8 -least.

3/ Fill up the worksheet to determine your team’s play personality profile.

4/ End with a bit introspection before kicking off to the next activity.
