Scrumlibs Retrospective

Report

Welcome to the Scrum Libs Retrospective

This retrospective is designed to highlight the alignment and teamwork of a team by showcasing how the team can finish each other's sentences. Or it can show how out of alignment the team is.

Prework

  1. Note the number of expected participants for the Retrospective

  2. Add/Remove sentences from the list

  3. If you need to add more, consider common sentences that you hear in a retrospective

  4. Create a list of the participants in a random order

  5. Do this 2 more times ensuring that the same name doesn't appear in the same spot in your list

  6. This will ensure that nobody is filling in more than 1 sticky note per specific sentence

Icebreaker - 5 minutes

Running the Retro - 5 minutes per column plus 1-2 minutes per sentence

  1. Going Left to Right on the board, ask each person to start to complete the retrospective sentence

  2. It is best if everyone does this activity at once

  3. Advise the participants to avoid going into too much detail

  4. Repeat for the other 2 stickies per sentence

  5. When all the sentences are done, have the person who wrote the first sticky read aloud the entire sentence and discuss.

  6. Did the team capture your thoughts/feelings?

Propose Action Items and Voting

  1. Have the team propose action items

  2. Vote on the action items

  3. Select at least 1 and no more than 2 action items for the next iteration.
